Merryn Somerset Webb joins FT Weekend

The Financial Times today announced the appointment of Merryn Somerset Webb as columnist for FT Weekend. Somerset Webb joins from The Sunday Times where she wrote a weekly finance column. In her new role she will be writing for the Money section of FT Weekend. Her first contribution will be due to appear in the April 26 / 27 2008 ‘refreshed’ edition of FT Weekend.

Somerset Webb will be providing insight into the financial markets and investments, based on her work in financial journalism and as a former broker. Recognised as one of the industry’s most established financial journalists, having edited MoneyWeek since its launch in 2000, Somerset Webb will provide FT Weekend’s readers with her thoughts on the industry.
