Analyst-led funds gain momentum

Investment funds are often run by a team rather than a single manager, but there is usually a named manager heading the effort. What happens if you discard the manager and allow analysts free rein to express their best picks?

Several fund houses have put this to the test and claim it has merit, producing strong outperformance with less volatility than the standard active management set-up.
