Japan serves antitrust order on Qualcomm

Japan’s Fair Trade Commission has taken action against Qualcomm, just days after South Korean authorities imposed a record fine on the biggest mobile phone chipmaker.

Qualcomm confirmed in a statement that it had received a draft order from the FTC. The move followed Tokyo media reports that regulators planned to order the company to stop abusing its market dominance.
