Apple Computer was named after Beatles' venture, High Court told

Steve Jobs, co-founder and chief executive of Apple Computer, claimed to have named his US computer giant after Apple Corps, the Beatles' music company, the band's former road manager told London's High Court.

Neil Aspinall, who now runs Apple Corps, said the admission came when the two men were discussing the company's plans to launch a "Beatles.com" website.
