Israeli PM reveals he has treatable cancer

Ehud Olmert, the Israeli prime minister, revealed on Monday he was suffering from prostate cancer, but stressed the tumour had been diagnosed at an early stage and vowed to carry on leading the government as before.

Mr Olmert added the ”microscopic” growth would not require chemotherapy, and that he would seek to have it removed through surgery in the coming months.
