Dairy Farmers co-op goes into receivership

Dairy Farmers of Britain, the co-operative that supplies 10 per cent of the UK’s milk and owns the Capricorn goats cheese and Cadog Welsh cheddar brands, has gone into receivership.

The co-operative, which had 1,800 farmer members before half of them gave notice that they would leave, filed for receivership on Wednesday after failing to turn round its business.
