Naturally Iowa, a $20m organic dairy, has a novel marketing slogan: "We Milk the Cows and we Grow the Bottles."

The firm, based in the rural town of Clarinda, Iowa, was the first in the world to sell its milk, yoghurt and ice-cream in containers made of Polylactic Acid, which is made from maize.
