Overview: Treasury yields continue upward march

US government bonds staged a partial rebound on Thursday and that helped Wall Street equities recoup some of Wednesday’s steep losses.

The dollar also gained ground against the yen as investors ditched the Japanese currency in the wake of the rise in US bond yields to six-month highs, while gold touched a two-month peak and oil prices rose above $65 a barrel.
