Berlin, Paris seek energy break-up delay

Germany and France seek to kick into the long grass legislative plans that would break up some of the European Union’s leading energy groups, diplomats claim.

Countries supporting reform fear that Berlin and Paris hope to delay irrevocably European Commission proposals to spur greater competition in the union’s electricity and gas markets.
