Prada on Monday hired its first chief operating officer as the Italian fashion group continues to consider launching its shares on the stock market next year.

Brian Blake has held senior management positions at Gucci and most recently at Burberry. He joins Prada as it once again ponders plans to list. Prada has called off an initial public offering several times, but for some months it has signalled serious intent by looking for a head of investor relations.
