The organisers of Mipim, the property industry’s annual convention in the south of France, say that this year will be another record: numbers are forecast to rise from 26,000 in 2007 to 28,000 this year across all attendees.
While this could be explained by another surge of delegates from Russia and the former states of the Soviet Union, who seemed to dominate much of the meeting last year, the more remarkable figure is that attendance from the UK is expected to rise by 7 per cent on current bookings.
