Scottish & Southern cuts fuel prices

Scottish & Southern Energy is to cut the price of its domestic electricity and gas service starting at the end of next month, as the company re-affirmed its commitment to raise its dividend and said its full-year profit estimates remained unchanged.

“In a period in which little can be taken for granted, the importance of profitability and dividends has been reinforced,” said Ian Marchant, chief executive.
