Call to triple number of financial advisers

A tripling in the number of independent financial advisers to 100,000 over the next five years is proposed on Monday to help cut indebtedness and increase saving among low- to middle-income Britons.

The call from the Association of Independent Financial Advisers comes as the Financial Services Authority’s retail distribution review looks at increasing the professionalism of financial advisers and improving access to advice.
