Low-cost airlines could be harder hit by increased security procedures than long-haul carriers, industry experts warned on Monday.

Companies such as Ryanair and EasyJet rely on cost-cutting measures, such as making passengers pay to check in suitcases so that they take their luggage on board themselves.
