Hopes US will revive Antisoma

The promise of a major US licensing deal has helped to balance news of a fall in revenues at Antisoma, the biotechnology company, as it prepares to auction the rights to its leukaemia drug, which received approval from US regulators last December.

Revenues fell sharply at the company in the past six months because of “lumpy” income flow, caused by irregular milestone payments from its licensing partners, notably Novartis.
