Thomson wins reprieve from creditors

Thomson, the heavily-indebted French media services group, won a temporary reprieve from bankers and bondholders on Monday night in a last ditch effort to secure its future as a going concern.

The group has won waivers from roughly 50 creditors allowing it to continue discussions on a restructuring of its €2.9bn ($3.7bn) debt until June 16.
