Shares in Hyundai Merchant Marine dropped 10 per cent on Wednesday after the company said it had asked the regulator to investigate possible stock price manipulation.

The probe by the Financial Supervisory Service centres on the period between March and May when the shares of Hyundai Merchant more than doubled from Won21,850 to Won47,500.
