Investors back air of online respectability

It was meant to be a routine press conference for Norbert Teufelberger when Bwin’s co-chief executive turned up one day at Monaco football club’s training ground.

The Austria-based online gambling company had just signed up as shirt sponsor of Monaco football club, and for both he and his business partner, Manfred Bodner, the turnout was likely to be depressingly thin.
