Matsushita Electric Industrial said on Tuesday it had filed for an injunction to halt sales in Japan of plasma display panels (PDPs) made by South Korea?s LG Electronics.

The Japanese consumer electronics giant, a leading maker of PDPs, claims that LG?s panels infringe its patents concerning heat radiation technology.
