Abertis, the Spanish infrastructure group, on Tuesday unveiled a 9 per cent year-on-year fall in first-quarter net profits, as acquisitions and stability at its telecommunications business helped offset the impact of reduced traffic on its toll roads and at its airports.
The company, which derives half its revenues from outside the recession-hit domestic economy, said net profits for the three months to the end of March were €122m, compared with €134m last time.
