Concern over investment funds

Securing the investment that Britain needs to keep the lights on will be “tricky”, according to Paul Golby, chief executive of the UK business of Eon, the German energy group.

“I am continually having to ask our parent company to provide funds, which gives the lie to the suggestion that German and French groups are here to repatriate cash into continental Europe,” he says.
