For a business that should rely, as any stock exchange does, on the free flow and split-second communication of information, the Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) has an unusual website.

It features only two press releases, one giving a progress report on its efforts to meet its commitments to various human rights, environment and labour goals. The other is a dry report on a “round-table meeting on promotion of co-operation among the stock exchanges of the Organisation of Islamic Conference member states stock exchanges” that took place back in 2005.
