Sustainability: Carbon cycle fires business

Plastic wrappings do not break down when landfilled and can choke fish and birds, so making them more environmentally friendly has been a key focus for British Polythene Industries, Europe’s biggest manufacturer of polythene film, bags and sacks.

The company is the biggest recycler of polythene waste, and has developed techniques for processing a wide range of materials, including plastic films used in agriculture and food.
