Bank sets out ideas on living wills

Banks will be forced to adopt detailed plans for recovery in a crisis alongside proposals for an orderly death, Andrew Bailey, head of banking services at the Bank of England, said on Tuesday.

In a speech on what have become known as “living wills” but which the Bank prefers to call recovery and resolution plans, Mr Bailey outlined the elements that would be required.
