Turmoil ‘positive’ for family offices

The financial crisis is “extremely positive” for the private investment offices that have sprung up in London to enhance the fortunes of the super-rich, wealth advisers predict.

Some multi-family offices – a relatively new breed of independent investment organisations that combine the wealth of rich families to maximise their financial potential – forecast that they could emerge from the storm better placed to take business away from traditional banking institutions.
