KBC rebounds on restructuring deal

Shares in Belgium’s KBC rebounded on Wednesday after the bancassurer announced the terms of its restructuring agreement with the European Commission.

KBC shares, which were suspended for the first half of the session, rose to their highest level in over a month after it said it would be allowed to keep its banc­assurance model intact, but would dispose of its private banking unit and cut risk-weighted assets by a quarter.
