The largest US auctioneer of repossessed homes has brought its controversial brand of high octane salesroom tactics to the UK to capitalise on the growing number of bank-owned properties.

Real Estate Disposition Corporation has drawn protests in the US at its huge auctions of foreclosed homes. Critics have accused the company of making money out of the misfortunes of homeowners.
