Rotork boosted by strong order book

A booming order book at Rotork has allowed the maker of industrial gearboxes and value actuators to raise it dividend by 20 per cent as it pointed to expectations of another strong year of trading.

The company, which makes about 60 per cent of its revenues from the oil and gas sector, ended the year with an order book of £162m, up 66 per cent on the start of the year.
