Divorce case fails to answer 'pre-nup' question

A multi-million pound di-vorce battle that would have clarified the status of pre-nuptial agreements in the UK has been settled, leaving uncertainty about how the deals will be enforced.

Stuart Crossley, a property developer worth £45m, and his wife Susan were due to appear before the High Court this morning to thrash out whether they should be bound by a pre-marital agreement not to seek a share of each other's assets.
