Game Group sticks to guidance as sales slow

The video game market appears to be peaking for Game Group, with the UK’s largest video games retailer reporting slower growth but maintaining its guidance for the year.

Like-for-like sales in the 18 weeks to November 29 grew 1.5 per cent compared with 22.2 per cent in the first half, the company said on Tuesday. Like-for-like growth in the first 44 weeks of Game’s financial year was 11.2 per cent.
