Venture capital investments in China will hit at least $1.5bn this year, and more than three-quarters will come from foreign funds. The landscape, however, is constantly evolving, and is now likely to become more local.

After much speculation, China has started taking steps to bolster the domestic venture capital industry from within and make it easier for foreign money sources to fund local venture capital pursuits.
