Thai protesters end siege as PM ejected

Thai anti-government protesters on Tuesday pledged to end a blockade of Bangkok’s two main airports after the country’s constitutional court banned prime minister Somchai Wongsawat from office.

The court ruled that Mr Somchai’s People Power party was guilty of vote-buying in last year’s elections. He was banned from politics for five years, along with 108 other officials from the PPP and two of its coalition allies.
