Clouds gather round Blue Sky product

A structured product targeted at retail investors has broken its promise to return capital to investors for the first time in the current bear market.

The Accelerated Recovery Plan from Blue Sky Asset Management, an investment boutique, was linked to a basket of five financial stocks and promised investors it would return all their capital at maturity, provided none of the stocks fell more than 50 per cent from the starting price.
