Investment inflows: Ranking faces challenge as growth slows

There is a long-standing reality gap between perceptions of France as a high-cost, short working-time business location, and its place in the world inward investment league.

Last year, according to figures from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad), and those from consultants, France ranked third worldwide as a foreign direct investment destination, behind only the US and the UK.
