Volatile times in Venezuela’s markets

Volatility and Venezuela appear to go hand in glove, and nothing better illustrates it than the recent performance of the Caracas stock market.

Last year Venezuelan equities rose by a spectacular 156 per cent (in local currency terms), putting them among the best performing emerging market shares in the world.
