Texas summit to discuss extension of Nafta

Security and trade concerns are likely to dominate today's meeting between US President George W. Bush, Vicente Fox, his Mexican counterpart, and Paul Martin, the prime minister of Canada.

The three will discuss plans for an ambitious extension of the North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta), which took effect on January 1 1994. They will meet at Mr Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas.
