Records company to buy Scrittura

Interwoven, a Nasdaq-listed electronic document management company, is buying Scrittura, a specialist in software that helps record complex derivatives trades, for $16m.

The move highlights the increasing importance of fast-growing derivatives markets to Interwoven’s investment bank customers. It also reflects a broader industry effort to address trade processing problems that have attracted the attention of regulators, including the UK’s Financial Services Authority.
