Investors wary of Myners’ voting rights idea

Lord Myners has a record of taking pot shots at several principles shareholders hold dear.

Five years ago, he headed a government-backed re-view of pre-emption rights, which protect shareholders against their holdings being diluted by companies issuing new shares. He concluded pre-emption was an important protection that should be retained.
