Kuwaiti traders mount bourse protest

Dozens of traders and investors protested outside Kuw­ait’s stock exchange on Thursday, demanding greater government intervention to shore up the bourse.

The protests were the first of their kind in the oil-rich Gulf as the region’s markets have followed international trends and fallen heavily in spite of the Middle East’s petrodollar-fuelled growth.
