Events business boosts UBM

United Business Media’s strategic shift away from traditional print media towards data services and exhibitions helped it increase its dividend on the back of higher revenues.

The owner of PRNewswire said that sales rose 10 per cent to £887m (£801.6m) while underlying operating profits were flat at £146.7m (£145.7m).
