Wine exchange weighs HK as hub

A UK-based electronic exchange for fine wine says it wants to expand to Asia by opening an office in Hong Kong to take advantage of the fast growing number of oenophiles in China.

But the London International Vintners Exchange says the self-governing Chinese territory would have to abolish a 40 per cent wine duty to make its plan happen.
