Oil lower as Opec tries to reassure markets

Oil prices eased slightly on Monday, helped by a combination of reassuring comments from OPEC on supplies and good news from Nigeria which soothed some of the geo-political tensions that have gripped the market in recent sessions.

Nymex March West Texas Intermediate fell 16 cents to $67.60 a barrel while IPE March Brent traded 35 cents lower at $65.89 a barrel.
