Poland set to back UK on working hours limit

The UK's attempt to maintain its opt-out from European Union legislation that limits working hours received a boost yesterday when Poland indicated it shared the UK's concerns about curbing time spent at work.

"There is a lot of common ground between Poland and Britain," Piotr Kulpa, deputy minister of labour, told the Financial Times. "Poland supports the British position on the opt-out."
