TV Azteca faces probe by Mexico regulator

Mexico's chief securities regulator has told TV Azteca directors, including chairman Ricardo Salinas Pliego, that they have a case to answer over allegations that they appeared to have infringed Mexican stock market rules.

His announcement, which was made to local reporters after the weekly meeting of Mexico's employers' council, follows this month's decision by the US Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a lawsuit against TV Azteca and its chairman.
