Rentokil falls to lowest point with fourth warning

“A plague of problems endemic in the business for quite a number of years” were to blame for the fourth profits warning in eight months at Rentokil Initial, according to its new chief executive.

Alan Brown, who took the helm at the support services group four months ago, squarely blamed the previous management for the gloomy update, which mentioned problems in six of its seven divisions, but added that current market conditions made a break-up unlikely.
