MIRANSHAH, Pakistan, November 20 – A suspected US drone aircraft fired two missiles at a north-western Pakistani militant stronghold on Friday, killing eight people, the second such attack this week, security officials and Taliban spokesmen said.
The US has carried out more than 40 attacks with its pilotless, missile-firing aircraft in north-west Pakistan this year as its forces in neighbouring Afghanistan have faced an intensifying Taliban insurgency.
