Rice voices concern over India pipeline to Iran

Condoleezza Rice, US secretary of state, on Wednesday conveyed Washington's opposition to an Indian government plan to lay a controversial pipeline to Iran, while at the same time suggesting the US and India align their interests as energy consumers.

Ms Rice, speaking in New Delhi on the first leg of her six-day Asian tour, reiterated US concerns about the proposed multi-billion dollar natural gas pipeline that would link Iran, Pakistan and India.
