R&D spending rises thanks to tax credit scheme

The government still does some things right, according to the CBI, which has published a report charting the successful growth of the research and development tax credit scheme.

The study found that 37 per cent of companies have increased their R&D spending as a result of the scheme, up from 18 per cent in 2005.
