Heritage Oil scoops Tullow with Eni move

Heritage Oil has agreed to sell its Ugandan oil fields to Eni, the Italian energy group, in a deal worth about $1.3bn ($790m).

The deal is a potential blow to Tullow, the fellow UK-listed oil company. Eni had been widely expected to be one of the most aggressive bidders for Tullow's Ugandan assets.
