ITV seeks successor to Grade

Some of the biggest names in British media will be in the reckoning to become ITV chief executive after the broadcaster announced on Thursday that Michael Grade would end his term as executive chairman at least a year earlier than planned.

Investors told the Financial Times that the move did not represent a backlash against the poor financial state of the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster, but they welcomed the chance for fresh leadership.
